Whether you're a seasoned vocalist or just starting, the Cheltenham based Curious Choir welcomes you to join our fun-loving non-auditioned community choir!

Come along to our rehearsals and join in or just watch. We’re starting our autumn/winter repertoire.

Although we're a new choir, we've already managed some public performances:

Reddings Community Centre (informal outdoor singing)
As the Season Turns - a guest slot at the joint concert with:
- The New Choral Singers (visiting from The Netherlands and led by Freek Elbers)
- Tapestry Chamber Choir (a Cotswold based choir led by our own Sandra Burne)

FAQs

Do I need to be able to read music?

No! There is no expectation that singers read music. In fact, no experience is necessary.

Is there a free trial session?

Yes. Feel free to come along and sing with us or just sit and watch.

What social activities do you do?

Socialising is at the our core of what we do so expect pub nights, quizzes, apres rehearsal nibbles ... etc. Make a suggestion!

What songs do you sing?

We sing a variety of musical genres, from rock to pop, musicals and folk, and world music to modern choral pieces. Our choir is all about exploration, fun, and making beautiful music together.

What do I need to bring to rehearsals?

Yourself! And any music you've been given at previous rehearsals - oh, and a pencil, and a sense of fun.

We focus on local events that benefit local charities, communities, and businesses - such as at Warden Hill Primary School's Christmas Fayre, John Lewis Christmas sing, Sue Ryder's Celebrate a Life (at St Matthews Church), Sue Ryder's Starlight Hike; and earlier this autumn the Suffolks Street Market and the Reddings Community Centre's event.

Do I have to perform?

No, feel free to participate in the choir rehearsals, socials, and performances and any extent you're comfortable with.
